Being Active on the Job

Sitting for hours has proven hazardous to our health. According to the American College of Sports Medicine being sedentary, regardless of hitting the gym for an hour a day, are at risk for a host of diseases . With looming deadlines and endless meetings, office goers have a difficult time remembering to take small breaks and stretch or take a short walk — smoking breaks do not count.
A new software program has come to the rescue. “The Movement” reminds you every hour to take a break. Each break is only 3 minutes long and you don’t have to leave your desk to do them. The stretches are a bot simplistic but the reminder to exercise for a few minutes is in itself worth the money($20/year).
